Vinyl is back, no doubt about it. Sales of vinyl records have been soaring, although they still represent only a tiny fraction of the music industry’s revenues: about 2 percent in Is this growth because, as some respected sources breathlessly state—I’m looking at you, Wired magazine—vinyl sounds better than digital media? Or is there some sort of retro-hype going on?

By Jeff Strong. A variety of stand-alone CD recorders are available for your home recording needs, and they all work differently. Some record the CD the same way that a cassette player records — you connect the input of the CD recorder to the output of the device that contains your music and press the Record button on the CD recorder while pressing the Play button on the device with the music.

Mar 12,  · Most of the time, I already have the ripped CD on my HDD. I rip the CD's with EAC, also into one large file, and then have the cue-sheet to go with it. Once I have the vinyl recorded, I copy the cue-sheet of the CD and edit to match the vinyl (the starting points of each track have to be slightly modified here and there).
